Terms of sale and refunds
Who you are buying from
Star Tracker (startracker.space) is run by [PIETRO: seller legal name. Your own name if you trade as a sole trader, or the company name and company number], of [PIETRO: postal address where notices can be sent]. Email [email protected] for anything about an order.
What you buy
| Problem pack, £19 | One topic as a PDF with full worked solutions and runnable Python, plus the interactive version of the same pack in your browser. Yours to keep. |
|---|---|
| Founding membership, £29 | Every pack published on the day you join, straight away, and every new pack we publish in the 12 months after that, sent to you as it comes out. The browser calculators (mass, power, link and thermal budgets) are not built yet. When they are, they are included for the rest of your 12 months. |
The product page at checkout says exactly which packs are available on the day you buy. We do not promise a set number of new packs or a date for the calculators; we promise that whatever we publish in your 12 months is yours.
Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and the price shown at checkout is the price you pay. [PIETRO: VAT. Say whether prices include VAT, which depends on your VAT position and on the Whop tax setting below]
Payments are taken by Whop (whop.com), the platform we sell through. You still buy from us: we are the seller, and we are responsible for the product, for refunds and for support. Whop handles your card details; we never see them. [PIETRO: Whop's Seller Terms (last updated 14 July 2026, whop.com/seller-terms) say Whop is merchant of record only for card network rules and payment settlement, and for sales tax and VAT only if we switch on its "Whop Collects and Remits" tax mode (2% per transaction; the UK is a supported country). Pick the tax mode, then keep or change this paragraph]
Founding membership: the year and renewing
Your membership runs for 12 months from the day you pay. £29 is the founding price. We plan to launch the full membership at about £49 a year. If you are a founding member and you renew, you renew at £29, not at the full price.
[PIETRO: two things to settle. 1. Does the membership renew automatically on Whop, or does the member buy again? If automatic, this section must say so, say when the payment is taken, remind the member before it is taken, and explain how to switch renewal off. 2. Does the £29 hold for every later renewal, or only the first one?]
Whatever you have downloaded during your year is yours to keep after it ends.
Your right to cancel, and our 14-day refund
The law first. When you buy digital content in the UK you normally have 14 days to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). That right ends once the download or access starts, but only if you agreed to immediate access and confirmed that you understand you lose the right to cancel. At checkout we ask you to tick that agreement, because the pack is delivered the moment you pay. [PIETRO: check the Whop checkout can show this tick box and wording before the first sale, and that the receipt confirms it]
Our promise is better than that. Even though the legal right to cancel ends when you download, we give a full refund for any reason within 14 days of your purchase. No forms and no questions. Reply to your receipt or email [email protected] with the email address you bought with. We refund the full amount to the card you paid with, within 14 days of your request.
- This applies to packs and to the founding membership, and to a founding membership renewal within 14 days of the renewal payment.
- After a refund your licence ends, so please delete the files.
- After 14 days we do not refund for a change of mind. Your legal rights below still apply.
If something is wrong with it
Digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality (Consumer Rights Act 2015). If a pack has an error or a file does not work, tell us. We will fix it and send you the corrected version, and if we cannot fix it you are entitled to a refund. Nothing in these terms takes away those rights.
What you may do with a pack
When you buy, you get a personal licence to use the pack for your own study. You may:
- read it on any of your devices and print it for yourself;
- run, change and extend the Python code to learn from it.
You may not:
- resell it, share it, or upload or post it, or its solutions, anywhere others can get it;
- hand in its problems or solutions, or work copied from them, as your own answers to an assignment, exam or other assessed work.
The packs are original work and the copyright stays with [PIETRO: copyright owner, the same legal name as the seller above]. For a university course or a student team that wants copies for several people, email us.
Accuracy
The packs are study aids. Every number in them is computed by a script and checked against a textbook value before it is published, and we correct errors when we find them. They are not a substitute for your course material, for mission and engineering standards (such as ECSS or NASA standards), or for a qualified engineer's review. Do not use them as the basis for real flight hardware or mission decisions.
If something in a pack goes wrong for you, our responsibility is limited to the price you paid for it. That does not limit anything the law does not allow us to limit, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the one shown on this page on the day you buy. If a change affects your membership while it is running, we will email you first.
Law
[PIETRO: governing law. Proposed: these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear disputes. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, or elsewhere, you keep the consumer protections and the right to go to court where you live]
